Okay, I have been breeding gaited show horses for a while now, but I know some of you have never set hoof in a gaited show ring before.
So I wanted to bring this to your attention.
Your DW's are most likely to be accepted if they have shown well and are champions in several brackets. We do look at this in the 6, and 10+ keurings.
So what?
In my experience, Gaited show horses peak at a young age and then their show scores decline quickly, making it impossible to get another title after this point. Similar to real life, as most saddleseat horses retire at a fairly young age.
Again, in my experience with my Morgans on E-R,
this happens at about 10 years of age.So be sure to show your horses!
Has anyone else out there run into this?
